Custom Engineering & Design

DCG provides custom engineering and system design for industrial combustible dust applications, helping facilities identify potential explosion hazards and develop protection solutions tailored to their processes and equipment. Our engineering approach considers dust characteristics, system airflow, equipment configuration, and applicable NFPA standards, including NFPA 660 and NFPA 69. From initial application review through final system design, we work to ensure explosion protection is properly integrated into the overall dust collection system.

Explosion Venting & Flameless Venting

DCG supplies BOSS Products explosion venting solutions designed to relieve pressure during a combustible dust deflagration and help protect dust collectors, baghouses, and process equipment. Available options include traditional explosion vent panels and flameless venting systems that help manage pressure and reduce the release of flames into surrounding work areas. Each solution is selected and sized according to the equipment configuration, dust characteristics, and applicable NFPA 68 requirements.

Explosion Isolation & Diversion

Preventing an explosion from spreading beyond its point of origin is an important part of a complete combustible dust protection strategy. DCG offers BOSS Products explosion isolation and diversion equipment, including VigiFlap isolation valves, no-return valves, and explosion diverters. These components are designed to help prevent flame fronts and pressure waves from traveling through interconnected ductwork and spreading to other equipment or areas of the facility. Proper equipment selection and placement are critical to an effective NFPA 69 protection strategy.

Spark Detection, Fire Prevention & Suppression

DCG provides access to BOSS Products fire and explosion prevention technologies designed to identify and respond to potential ignition sources within industrial dust collection systems. Solutions include Raptor Spark detection and extinguishing systems, Raptor Shield spark traps, Raptor Gate high-speed abort gates, and fire suppression equipment. These technologies can be integrated into new or existing dust collection systems to help reduce ignition risks, protect critical equipment, and improve overall facility safety.
